Chelsea have completed the signing of 18-year-old Burkina Faso midfielder Bertrand Traore after a successful trial period with the club, Sky Sports reports.
The talented youngster has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract after impressing with the Stamford Bridge outfit during pre-season, putting in some strong displays in Jose Mourinho’s midfield.
Traore has been a full international for his country since he was just 16 years old, and looks like having a bright future in the game as he looks to continue his development with Chelsea.
The Blues made plenty of big-money signings during the summer, but have also expressed an interest in moving more towards youth development with the introduction of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play laws.
