Four United players could be set for the axe this January.
Manchester United manager David Moyes is considering making a huge fire-sale at Old Trafford when the winter transfer window reopens in the new year, according to reports in the Sun.
The Premier League champions have so far made an unconvincing start to the defence of their title this season, with the Red Devils currently languishing down in eighth place in the table and already a massive eight points behind leaders Arsenal after the opening eight games of the campaign.
As a result, the Scot is said to already be seriously considering the futures of Nani, Anderson, Rafael and Ashley Young at Old Trafford, with the four players having badly underperformed for Moyes so far.
And of that quartet it is believed that both Anderson and Young are in most danger of being sold by the Premier League giants at the turn of the year, with reports suggesting that the former could be on his way back to Portuguese champions FC Porto.
But Portugal international Nani, who was only handed a new long-term deal in August by Moyes, was booed off the pitch by United’s fans during Saturday’s 3-2 home win over Stoke City, and the wide-man’s days at the club may also now be numbered.
