Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has opened up about the front line partnership he shares with Luis Suarez and he has insisted that it is so deadly because the pair have a ‘telepathic’ understanding, the Metro reports.
The dangerous pair have already sunk 14 goals between them this term as they continue to maintain their position at the head of the Premier League table during the early stages of the campaign.
Sturridge has seen himelf starting to become established within the England national side this season, and with Brendan Rodgers praising his star duo earlier this week, the Birmingham-born striker has revealed that the two are so good because the share a telepathic relationship.
“It’s a natural partnership between us – it’s almost telepathic,” said Sturridge.
“We get on really well on and off the pitch and I think that makes a huge difference to how we play together.
“The relationship we have means we know when to pass to each other and when we’re going to make runs. It’s just a totally natural thing.
“It means we can do more off-the-cuf’ and instinctive things – because we’re on the same wavelength.
“I think it’s only going to improve the more we play together.”
Suarez was strongly linked with a move away from Anfield in the summer, and though he remains a top target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, he appears to be enjoying his football with the Merseyside giants at the moment.
