Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace have already made contact with Wales manager Chris Coleman about succeeding the recently departed Ian Holloway in the dugout at Selhurst Park, according to reports in the London Evening Standard.

Coleman is also understood to be considering the imminent offer of a contract extension by the Football Association of Wales, despite the Red Dragons’ disastrous recent qualifying campaign for next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

However, it is understood that the 43-year-old would prefer a return to management in the Premier League, especially as Coleman used to play for the Eagles for four years between 1991 and 1995.
