Hammers insist they’ve received no offers.
West Ham United have denied that Arsenal, or anybody else, have made an approach for centre-back Winston Reid, according to Sports Direct News.
News emerged last week that Arsene Wenger was keen to bring the New Zealand international to the Emirates and the press were quick to build the speculation up with claims that a formal approach had been made, however, the east London club have denied that they have received any contact from the Gunners.
And in fact, Sam Allardyce had been hoping to agree fresh terms with the player as he has just over 18 months left to run on his current deal.
Reid would most likely not be allowed to move in January even if Wenger does decide to follow up on his initial interest as his impressive form has been one of the key reasons why the side has conceded just eight goals so far in the current campaign, despite sitting low down in the table.
Reports have circulated for some time that Reid is a target for the Gunners but a Hammers source revealed there had been no contact – nor did they want any.
