Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is being targeted by the likes of Stoke, Hull, Sunderland and Crystal Palace in the January transfer window as they all look to strengthen their attacking options, the Daily Star reports.

The hapless Danish international was close to agreeing a deal to join Premier League new boys Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day only for Gunners boss to put a block on the move at the last minute to provide cover for Olivier Giroud.

Bendtner has been drafted gradually back in to the side in recent weeks, but has still failed to find the net for the club since 2011.

Arsenal will now listen to offers for the 25-year-old before his contract expires next summer and will begin to draft up possible replacements for him come January.

Bendtner revealed he will give his all until his contract expires at the end of the season for the Gunners, saying: “At the moment I’m doing everything I can to help the team win trophies, as we all are.

“I’ve always had strong feelings towards the club and respected the club and that’s something I will never lose.

“The only reason I have ever wanted to leave is to play football every week. I thought I’d leave in the summer, but I’m still here and I’m not sad about it.

“I don’t regret it. I’m here, part of the group and as professional as any other player.”
