Arsenal to Make January Bid for Cultured Premier League Midfielder

Emirates Stadium side keen on bringing in St James’ Park star.

Arsenal will look to make a fresh offer for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye according to the Daily Star.

The 27 year old had appeared set to leave St James’ Park after going on strike at the club after a bid for his services from Arsenal was turned down. However the French international has since buckled down and put in a series of excellent displays though Cabaye’s long term future at the club is still very much uncertain.

Cabaye’s former Lille boss Rudi Garcia is also keen on signing the Magpies star and the chance to join all conquering AS Roma, top of Serie A after a near perfect start to the season, may prove as tempting as a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Alan Pardew is desperate to keep hold of Cabaye though a good offer may well be considered by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley who is clearly not averse to cashing in on his club’s top performers.

Interest in Cabaye may be fueled by constant injury concerns over the likes of Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini.
