Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a double swoop for two of the Continent’s most promising young players, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The west London club, who only last week landed highly rated 18-year-old Burkina Faso international midfielder Bertrand Traore, are now understood to be keeping close tabs on both Benfica wide man Lazar Markovic (pictured) and Inter Milan attacking midfield player Pedro Delgado.

Serbia international Markovic only joined Portuguese giants Benfica in June on a five-year deal from Partizan Belgrade, with the 18-year-old having already managed to find the back of the net on three occasions in just seven league outings in Lisbon.

Meanwhile, Delgado moved to San Siro on a three-year deal during the summer from Portuguese second division outfit Portimonense, however, the 16-year-old is already developed a growing reputation in Italy.

And it is believed that the self-styled ‘Special One’ has been using his raft of contacts at each clubs, both of who the Portuguese has coached at during the past, to give him a range of detailed information on the pair as the Blues contemplate making a possible move for Markovic and Delgado at some point in the future.
