Premier League champions Manchester United are planning on making another move for Real Madrid’s £35 million-rated holding midfield player Sami Khedira as soon as the winter transfer window opens again for business at the turn of the year, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The Red Devils have been closely monitoring the form of the highly rated Germany international for some time now, with new United head coach David Moyes having even tried to sign Khedira in the final hours on transfer deadline day.

However, there was not enough time left in the window for United to be able to do a deal with the Spanish giants, with the club instead switching their focus towards Everton midfield player Marouane Fellaini, with the big-haired Belgium international eventually moving to Old Trafford for a whopping £27m.

But it is fair to say that Fellaini has found it desperately hard to settle into life in the north west since completing his big-money move to the Theatre of Dreams, and with the new man also set to undergo surgery on a wrist injury at some point that will keep the player out of action for possibly as long as two months, Moyes now wants cover in that area of the field.
