Liverpool Linked With £5m Bargain Buy Capture of Spanish International Attacker

Anfield side keen on Sporting Lisbon wide-man.

Check in to Liverpool vs Fulham

Liverpool are lining up a bid for Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel according to the Daily Mirror.

The 25 year old has long been linked with a move to Anfield and could now apparently be available for as little as £5m as Sporting Lisbon seek to balance the books having found themselves in financial dire straits.

Capel may be sacrificed and the Spanish international may well jump at the chance of a move to join Liverpool. The speedy wide-man has been capped twice and has been a relative success since moving to Portugal from Sevilla back in July 2011.

Diego Capel has scored ten goals in 59 and could offer Rodgers a fresh attacking dimension for a relatively small fee and is perhaps considered a player worth making an offer for as Raheem Sterling has gone off the boil in his second season in the first team.

Victor Moses was brought in from Chelsea but is clearly only a short term loaned in option and new signing Iago Aspas has struggled to make an impact since joining the club in the summer.

Prior to his move to Lisbon Capel helped Sevilla to secure two UEFA Cup triumphs.
