Romanian has coached throughout Europe in his ten-year managerial career to date.

Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are hoping to appoint former Chelsea midfield player Dan Petrescu as the successor to the recently departed Ian Holloway in the dugout at Selhurst Park, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The highly rated one-time Romania international is currently working as manager of Russian outfit Dinamo Moscow, who he joined in August 2012 on a three-year deal.

However, it is understood that Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish and recently appointed director of football Ian Moody flew out to the Russian capital on Tuesday for face-to-face talks with Petrescu, as the south-east London club look to announce their new manager before the Premier League returns to action a week on Saturday.
