Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly lining up a bid for Chelsea captain John Terry according to the Daily Mail.

The experienced centre-back will be out of contract in the summer and boss Roberto Mancini is keen to lure the Blues star to Istanbul and it may just be a move that John Terry is ready to consider if he feels a new Chelsea deal is not likely to be extended to him.

Mancini has to work within the confines of a strict foreign player quota and will have to make room accordingly for the 32 year old as he seeks to strengthen his Galatasaray defence and if the former Man City boss can offer Terry a lengthy deal then he may just win the race to sign the Chelsea man.

Chelsea adopt a policy of only offering one year extensions to player’s over 30 and as such any offer handed to Terry will be a short term one and as such a move to Turkey could become a distinct possibility.

Terry is into his 16th season in the Chelsea first team and has made a total of 587 appearances for the club, guiding them to three Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph among a host of honours.
