Man United boss David Moyes has been handed £100m to invest in new players in the January transfer window and according to the Daily Star the Scot’s first priority is to land Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.
Interest in Di Maria no doubt stems from the fact that the likes of Luis Antonio Valencia, Nani and Ashley Young have all failed to impress this term and there is also the added concern over Danny Welbeck’s extended spell on the sidelines that has restricted the England man to just four Premier League starts this season.

Argentine international Di Maria was a regular in the early stages of the current campaign but the 25 year old has seen Welshman Gareth Bale start to force him into a more limited role at the Bernabeu and the front three of Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo has proved fruitful of late which could perhaps tempt the former Benfica man to consider interest from Old Trafford.
This source states that Di Maria is valued at around £25m and that seems a fair price in today’s inflated transfer market, we are after all talking about a player who has scored 28 goals and provided a massive 54 assists in his 153 appearances for Real Madrid.
