Gunners to line up cut price strike ace.
Arsenal are set to line up sensational swoop for former Chelsea striker Soloman Kalou in the January transfer window, according to Sports Direct News.
The Ivory Coast international is currently on the books with French club Lille where he excelled last season by bagging 16 goals in 37 appearances. However, this season has seen him struggle as he has found the net only three times in ten games so far.
He is believed to be keen on making the move back to England, though, and his representatives have touted his services to a number of clubs in the Premier League.
The Gunners have been made aware of his availability and are thought to be very interested in making an offer as they look to add more options to their forward line with Olivier Giroud playing the bulk of games up front alone.
And with fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner set to move on in January Arsene Wenger will most likely make his move based on the forward’s £2.5m release clause.
However, Arsenal may face competition in the shape of West Ham and West Bromwich Albion, who are both thought to be monitoring his progress as well and could prepare moves of their own.
