Emirates Stadium side target in-form attacker.
Arsenal have entered the race to sign in-form Torino winger Alessio Cerci according to the Daily Star.
The 26 year old Italian international has started the current campaign with a bang, leading to a growing interest in his services as well as an extended run in Cesare Prandelli’s national team set-up.
Man United are also said to be interested in the former Fiorentina man who has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 11 Serie A appearances this season.
Head Coach Giampiero Ventura is keen to keep Cerci at Torino, but negotiations over a new contract extension have proven problematic and the £16m rated wide-man may now be keen to pursue a move to one of Europe’s ‘Elite’.
Arsene Wenger may well feel the need to strengthen his attack in January and whilst he may primarily be looking to bring in a striker to support Olivier Giroud up front the fact that Cerci is finding the net so freely may well make him a sensible target, especially given the continuing injury concerns over England man Theo Walcott.
