The Daily Express claim that the Blues are readying a big money offer for the 27 year old striker with the added sweetener of including Spanish international forward Fernando Torres as part of any offer.

Mourinho was in attendance as Falcao took part in a recent friendly between Belgium and Colombia, with the feared finisher scoring a customary goal, and this has fueled speculation that a bid from the Stamford Bridge side is imminent.

Falcao is apparently struggling to adapt to life in Ligue 1 and is unhappy at the distinct lack of atmosphere at home fixtures at the Stade Louis II.

This source also states that Torres would be attracted by the chance of a move to the big spending principality club, no doubt the tax haven status would also be a motivating factor for the Chelsea forward.

Falcao has had no trouble finding the back of the net since moving to AS Monaco, Indeed the former Atletico Madrid man is the joint leading goal-scorer in the French top tier having scored nine goals in 13 matches.

Mourinho may feel that Falcao is the ideal man to lead his Chelsea attack with the likes of Torres, Samuel Eto’o, Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba failing to make a consistent impact.
