Carlo Ancelotti has been tracking Ramires since he took over at the Bernabeu and is now ready to make an offer for the 26 year old Brazilian.
The Real Madrid boss often likes to play with two holding midfielders and with Xabi Alonso only just back from an injury lay-off, and out of contract in the summer, and youngster Casemiro perhaps too raw for regular action, Ancelotti will need to bring in a new option to partner summer signing Asier Illaramendi.
Ramires is under contract until 2017 and appears settled at Stamford Bridge but the chance to move to join the Spanish giants is further motivated by the fact that Ancelotti was the man who brought him to Stamford Bridge when he was in charge of the West London side.
Jose Mourinho will not want to lose Ramires, who has started all eleven of Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures this season, regardless of what offer his former employers make.
Ramires made a whopping 62 appearances in all competitions last season.
