Forward may now join Blackburn.

Premier League giants Liverpool have decided to allow front man Adam Morgan to depart Anfield on a free transfer, despite former Reds idol and striking sensation Robbie Fowler being a big fan of the young Englishman, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The England Under-19 international has been with the Merseysiders throughout his career, making his debut for the club last August in a Uefa Europa League qualifying tie against Hearts in Edinburgh, before then starting the return leg at Anfield the following week.

But, despite that show of faith in his abilities by Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers, those have been the only two matches that the forward has featured in for the club and now the Northern Irishman has opted to allow the 19-year-old to leave Anfield for free, with the player’s contract set to run out at the end of this campaign.

One former Liverpool player who will be disappointed to see Morgan leave the Reds though is Fowler, who had high praise for the attacker during his time at the club.

“As a finisher he is probably one of the best I’ve seen for a long, long time,” said the ex-Liverpool and England striker of Morgan’s finishing abilities.

However, it is understood that Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Morgan in 2014.
