The highly rated Brazil international has been with the north London club since August 2010, when Sandro first arrived at White Hart Lane from Internacional for an undisclosed fee believed to be somewhere in the region of 10 million euros.

And in the intervening three-year period in the capital, the 24-year-old has managed to register six goals and eight assists in total in his 161 matches in all competitions for Tottenham, including six strikes and five assists in his 126 Premier League outings.

However, with Sandro having so far failed to hit the back of the net or create a goal for a Spurs team-mate in this campaign, rumours have begun to circulate of late suggesting that head coach Andre Villas-Boas could be set to cash in on the Brazilian come the turn of the year.

And now it is understood that the in-form Romans are interested in bringing Sandro to the Italian capital in January, although with the holding midfield player’s contract at the Lane not due to expire until June 2016, it is expected that Spurs will want at least £15m for their player.
