Big Serb Vidic could be on his way to Serie A.
Italian giants Roma are set to prepare an offer to land Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, according to Inside Futbol.
The capital club have began their season in superb style and currently sit atop the Serie A standings under the guidance of new coach Rudi Garcia and are already looking to make the necessary reinforcements to the side in order to sustain their challenge.
Garcia will be backed financially by the club’s owners in January following a summer spending spree that saw the likes of Kevin Strootman and Gervinho arrive at the club.
And according to reports in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport the former Lille boss is a big fan of Vidic and has been encouraged to make a move for him thanks to his contractual situation at Old Trafford.
The tough tackling centre-back’s current deal expires at the end of the current season and with no talks on the horizon a window of opportunity has been opened for a number of potential suitors.
Although, it still remains unclear as to whether Roma will look to make him an immediate offer in January or wait until next summer to get their man on board.
However, there is still time for Vidic to pen a new deal to keep him in England.
