Manchester United Winger Maybe Heading To Serie A In January

Inconsistent Portuguese’s future at Old Trafford is in serious doubt.

Serie A champions Juventus are hoping to be able to sign out-of-favour Manchester United wide man Luis Nani when the winter transfer window opens again for business in the new year, according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.

The mercurial Portugal international had seemed set for a long stay at Old Trafford after agreeing to put pen to paper on a new contract with the Premier League champions back in September, with Nani now tied to the Red Devils until June 2018.

However, despite that new deal, and the winger starting a number of the club’s early-season matches under recently appointed head coach David Moyes, Nani has once again slipped out of the first-team reckoning under the Scot.

And with only one assist to his name so far in his six matches in all competitions, and no goals, the feeling around the north west is that the 27-year-old’s days at the Theatre of Dreams are now numbered, which could play into the ‘Old Lady of Italian Football’s’ hands.

Juve have been keeping close tabs on Nani for some time now, however, as yet manager Antonio Conte has been unable to persuade either United or the player himself to make the move to Italy, although that could now very well change in January.
