The Daily Star claim that Ligue 1 sides PSG and AS Monaco are ready to offer the 32 year old a £150k a week deal over the course of a four year contract that would include a whopping £5m signing on fee.

Evra’s £31m pay-day appears all the more likely as the French international is set to be out of contract in the summer with no contract talks in place. David Moyes’s pursuit of Everton left-back Leighton Baines a sign that the Scot is ready to replace the long serving Man United star.

Patrice Evra spent three and a half seasons at AS Monaco side prior to his £5.5m move to Man United in January 2006, since when the full-back has amassed a total of 347 appearances for the Premier League side.

However a move to PSG is perhaps more likely though if Claudio Ranieri can secure a Champions League berth for AS Monaco then a move back to the Stade Louis II may attract Evra.
