The Turkey international is currently enjoying yet another eye-catching campaign for the La Liga high flyers, so much so that reports emanating from Arda’s homeland suggest that the Premier League champions and their arch rivals from Merseyside have both recently sent scouts out to the Spanish capital to watch the 26-year-old in action  first hand.

And the two two-flight outfits cannot have failed to be impressed with what they saw, with Arda having so far managed to record an impressive three goals and three assists in total in just 14 matches in all competitions for Atleti so far in this campaign, including an equally eye-catching one strike and two assists in his 11 league outings for Diego Simeone’s in-for side.

The one major stumbling though to either team being able to do a deal for the Turk come the turn of the year remains the size of the buyout clause in Arda’s contract at the Calderon which is a whopping 40 million euros.
