Both Arsene Wenger and Andre Villas-Boas could do with attacking reinforcements and the Spanish Under 21 international is seen by both clubs as the man to help resolve their respective striking problems.

Arsenal are looking to bring in supporting options up front with Olivier Giroud being heavily relied upon, not least as both Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski have been suffering with injury concerns.

Tottenham spent over £55m to bring in Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado to boost their attack but neither has impressed thus far this season and as such Villas-Boas may see Morata as the man to get his White Hart Lane banging in the goals.

Morata is considered one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football but is struggling to retain a foothold in Carlo Ancelotti’s first team set-up.

However the 21 year old has still managed to net twice this season even though he’s only started one La Liga fixture.

Morata has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances for the Spanish Under 21 side.
