The 20 year old Belgian is said to have been angered about finding himself behind Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Andre Schurrle in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order after a successful pre-season run of form and handed in a transfer request which then resulted in the Stamford Bridge boss sending Lukaku to Everton on a season long loan basis.
The powerful forward is said to be interested in remaining at Goodison Park on a permanent basis but only if Everton can secure a Champions League berth.
Lukaku has scored seven goals in eight Premier League appearances thus far this season, more than the aforementioned Chelsea strike-force has managed in their combined efforts, and a move to secure regular first team football appears likely at the end of the season.
Romelu Lukaku moved to Chelsea in August 2011 for a fee of around £17m but has only been handed one Premier League start over the course of the past two and a bit years at the West London club.
