Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well known for plucking the world’s best young talent from across the continent and has been widely impressed by what he has already seen from the 19-year-old.
And although he has yet to establish himself as a regular in the starting line up of the northern Italians, his performances for the youth sides of both club and country have seen him being watched by scots by a host of top clubs from around Europe.
Arsenal will now try to snare the player in the new year in a bid to add to a squad that has been decimated by injury during the first half of the season, but will face competition from fellow Premier League side Manchester City, who have also been trailing him for some time now.
Both Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski have been missing for large parts of the season and Wenger believes that Zielinski would become a vital member of the squad should he chose to head for the Emirates.
However, he has previously stated that he would prefer to stay at Udinese for the time being to continue his development.
