Arsenal And Manchester United Set To Miss Out On Landing In-Demand South American Winger In January

Gunners have been tracking Argentinian since the summer.

Both Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United look like missing out on coveted Real Madrid wide man Angel Di Maria when the winter transfer window reopens for business in the new year, according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.

The brilliant Argentina international is believed to have grown disillusioned with life at the Santiago Bernabeu of late with new los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti instead preferring to utilise recent new big-money signing Gareth Bale up front alongside both Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As a result, Di Maria has now been marginalised in the Spanish capital and despite the 25-year-old having so far featured in 18 matches in total for the Spanish giants this season, during which time the winger has contributed an eye-catching four goals and eight assists along the way, he has still found himself spending more time warming the substitutes’ bench than actually starting matches recently.

So much so that now the player has told his representative, super-agent Jorge Mendes, to broker him a big-money move to mega-rich Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco at the turn of the year, with Di Maria understood to be concerned about his starting place in the Argentina team at next summer’s World Cup.
