The Chelsea manager is said to be an admirer of the 18 year old, considered one of the hottest prospects in European football, who has been a regular in Laurent Blanc’s first team set-up this season albeit mainly being used from the bench.
The rangy midfielder has already been capped at French Under 21 level and is a player with a bright future and is unlikely to be sold by the Parc des Princes side anytime soon.
Mourinho is no doubt keen to plan for the future, having brought in the likes of Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel, Christian Atsu, Isaiah Brown and Christian Cuevas over the summer, and may see Rabiot as a player who could make an immediate impact whilst also being the level of talent he could build his midfield around.
Rabiot may have only turned 18 four months ago but he has already racked up 39 appearances for PSG and Toulouse, where he spent last season out on loan.
