Manchester United are said to be willing to listen to offers for young midfielder Tom Cleverley when the transfer market re-opens in January, after he has struggled to gain a place in the side during the absence of Michael Carrick, according to reports in Sports Direct News.

The England international has been given more playing time since club legend Paul Scholes retired at the end of last season and Carrick’s fitness issues, but has been faced with heavy criticism due to his fractured partnership with fellow central midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
The defending champions have been accused of possessing a lack of flair this term and manager David Moyes is widely expected to undertake a massive overhaul of his squad in January.
And should he decide to let the player leave there would be no shortage of interested parties, though there have been doubts that he is able to mix it amongst the best of the best in the Premier League and Europe.
The 24-year-old had made 61 appearances for United since breaking into the side, scoring four goals.
