The 26 year old has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp since his move to the La Liga side in August 2012 with the battling midfielder starting five of Barcelona’s 15 domestic league fixtures this season.
Man United are known to be keen on the tough tackler and the chance to land such an experienced performer for such a low price could be too tempting to turn down as David Moyes looks to freshen up his Old Trafford squad in January. Napoli are also said to be interested in Song.
Prior to his move to Barcelona Song spent seven seasons at the Emirates Stadium, racking up over 200 appearances in the process.
Man United lack an out and out defensive midfielder and Song could help provide some much needed steel to the centre of the club’s line-up.
Barcelona are thought to be looking to sell Song to make room for a possible addition of their own with Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan and Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin both being on Gerardo Martino’s radar.
