The 34 year old could be allowed to leave the San Siro in January given his contract at the club comes to an end next summer and a move to try his hand in the Premier League may tempt the experienced marksman.
There is talk of a possible move back to his native Argentina but Allardyce will hope to tempt the former Genoa and Real Zaragoza man to Upton Park.
West Ham have managed just 12 goals in 14 Premier League fixtures this season and with Andy Carroll still out with a heel injury a striker signing is key for the East London side during next month’s transfer window.
Milito has been restricted to just three sub appearances in Serie A this term but has still managed to net twice and has scored a total of 77 goals in 154 appearances for Inter Milan since joining the club back in the summer of 2009.
In his first season at the club the lethal finisher scored 30 goals in all competitions to help secure a famous treble for then boss Jose Mourinho.
