The source states that Spanish outletSport.es will offer £38m for the 30 year old forward and that negotiations are set to take place, this comes amid a wealth of speculation regarding an apparent transfer request made by the Dutch international.

Though David Moyes has been quick to refute such speculation there is no denying that Man United have struggled this season and Van Persie himself has had injury concerns, though these have not prevented the former Arsenal man scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions.
With Lionel Messi out injured Gerardo Martino has targeted Van Persie, who he may feel is a more adept central striking option than in-form Chilean Alexis Sanchez.
Indeed with Messi fully fit the Nou Camp boss may feel that the chance to field a front three including the Argentine, young Brazilian Neymar and Van Persie as too good an opportunity to pass up.
One would imagine Man United would fight off any interest in Van Persie, who netted 30 goals in his debut season.
If Van Persie genuinely doesn’t feel that Moyes can succeed at Man United then he may well feel compelled to consider his options and the chance to reunite with former Arsenal team-mates Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song may also be a motivating factor to making a move to join the La Liga side.
