The Danish boss has seen both Wilfried Bony and Michu struggle for form this season and may feel the addition of another attacking option could help push the Welsh side up towards the top six after an up and down campaign.
Spaniard Michu has failed to hit the heights he reached in his debut season, netting just two goals in 11 appearances and Ivory Coast international Bony has made just six Premier League starts, though has netted four goals in the process.
The arrival of both Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente over the summer have limited Quagliarella’s role at Juventus and as such a move to secure more regular first team football could well tempt the 30 year old Italian international.
Indeed Quagliarella may feel a move to the Premier League could help his chances of forcing his way back into the national team set-up.
Quagliarella has netted 29 goals in 92 appearances for Turin based side.
