The 27 year old has had something of a problematic second season in the English top tier, having been a massive success in his debut term at Swansea City.

The cultured forward has scored just twice in 11 Premier League fixtures during the current campaign having racked up 18 last season, and though Michael Laudrup’s side are safely ensconced in mid-table the Welsh side may have a fight on their hands to keep hold of Michu for much longer.
“Every player dreams about playing in big teams; clubs that play in the Champions League and fight for titles and I am no different,” Michu told Marca.
“But it is true that I feel very good here, the boss gives me a lot of confidence and I’m surrounded by Spaniards. I am very pleased and very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go.”
These comments will no doubt please Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers who could certainly do with further attacking options given the long term injury suffered by Daniel Sturridge as well as the poor form shown by summer signing Iago Aspas and the fact that Italian Fabio Borini, currently out on loan at Sunderland, may well be likely to be offloaded permanently.
To add further fuel to speculation of a move to another side based in the English top tier Michu added:
“Right now I’m happy abroad. I really like the Premier League, I’m happy here.”
