Old Trafford side to renew interest in Brazilian international.
Man United are readying a big money offer for PSG winger Lucas Moura as David Moyes sets his sights on the Brazilian wide-man.
CaughtOffside understands that the Old Trafford boss has grown dismayed at the efforts of a number of his attackers this season and has been given the go ahead of the Man United board to make a move for the Parc des Princes youngster with Moyes being handed a significant transfer fund injection.
Man United had attempted to sign 21 year old Moura prior to his move from Sao Paulo the Ligue 1 side but thus far has failed to make a consistent impact and has been used sparingly by boss Laurent Blanc.
Moura has started just eight of PSG’s 18 Ligue 1 fixtures this season and with Blanc known to be targeting Chelsea’s Juan Mata the French club may consider big money offers for Moura.
With Nani, Luis Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young offering little in the way of a goal-scoring threat, the trio managing just one Premier League goal between them from a combined 28 appearances, one can see why Moyes would take an interest in Moura.
Add to the mix that the young flair player can also play in an advanced attacking midfield role, similar to the one that Japanese international Shinji Kagawa has struggled to fill, and a move for the PSG starlet makes all the more sense.
Man United came close to signing Moura for a rumoured £30m but in the end the speedy attacker opted to join PSG but Man United are now ready to offer £35m to tempt the French capital club to sell, a deal they are most likely to pursue in the summer as the player is cup tied from Champions League action.
