Arsene Wenger had hoped to land the powerful forward prior to his move from Athletic Bilbao to Juventus on a free transfer in the summer but will hope to be more successful in his advances for the 28 year old in January.
With Antonio Conte’s side failing to negotiate a path through to the Champions League knockout stages there is perhaps a slight chance that the Turin based side would consider offers for Llorente, who has had an up and down time of it since moving to Italy.
Llorente has started nine of the club’s 16 Serie A fixtures this season and has managed just four goals in domestic football with another couple coming in the Champions League.
Wenger is keen to bring in striking support having overly relied on French international Olivier Giroud thus far this season, chiefly due to injury issues plaguing both Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott, though the England man did net twice against Man City on his Premier League return.
