30 year old American international Clint Dempsey is set to re-sign for West London side Fulham according to the BBC.

The forward, who returned to the United States in the summer, is set for a medical at Craven Cottage ahead of a short term move from MLS side Seattle Sounders next month.

Dempsey enjoyed a successful stint at Fulham prior to his move to Tottenham and will no doubt be welcomed back with open arms by the club’s supporters.

Dempsey scored 60 goals in 225 appearances for Fulham between 2007-2012 before he made a £6m move to White Hart Lane.

Since returning to the MLS Dempsey has scored one goal in nine appearances and will no doubt be a crucial member of the United States national team set-up at the 2014 World Cup finals.
