Black Cats target White Hart Lane wide-man.
Sunderland will look to convince Tottenham to offload Kyle Naughton in January according to the Daily Mail.
Last season the Black Cats brought in White Hart Lane wide-man Danny Rose on loan and will now look to bring in former Sheffield United man Naughton in either on a temporary basis or on a permanent deal.
Naughton has started five Premier League fixtures this season, the last of which came during Tottenham’s 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool, the result that cost Andre Villas-Boas his job.
Gus Poyet has also set his sights on bringing in QPR keeper Julio Cesar and will consider a move for Reading’s Wayne Bridge is his efforts to bring in Naughton fail to bear fruit.
Naughton moved to Tottenham in July 2009 and has made a total of 20 Premier League appearances for the North London side.
