The English trio will all be out of contract next summer and can enter into ‘pre-contract’ talks with any potential suitors next month and with no imminent plans to offer the Chelsea stars new Blues deals they could well be tempted into Stamford Bridge exits.
Owner Roman Abramovich is not set to enter talks with the three players for a few months which leaves the players in something of a vulnerable position and perhaps suggests that the Russian billionaire is ready to call time on their respective Chelsea careers.
Galatasaray are said to be keen on John Terry, LA Galaxy have been linked with interest in Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole is also known to be an MLS target.
Of the three perhaps the most unlikely to leave is centre-back Terry given that the 33 year old has been an ever present for Jose Mourinho this season. Lampard has been involved in some way in 16 of Chelsea’s 17 Premier League fixtures so would appear to also be a key player. Cole on the other hand has been frozen out of first team affairs in recent weeks.
