Bluebirds owner fires Scot.

Cardiff City have sacked manager Malky Mackay following the Welsh side’s 3-0 home defeat to Southampton according to the BBC.

The Scot had guided the Bluebird to the first promotion to the top tier in over 50 years but has somehow found himself axed by the club’s board of directors.

Though the club haven’t started all that brightly they are still clear of the relegation zone and the decision will dismay the Cardiff City faithful who have steadfastly backed the former Watford boss.

The club’s billionaire owner Vincent Tan had emailed Mackay earlier in the month demanding he resign or to expect the sack but the 41 year old refused to yield only to be axed two days after Christmas and in the middle of a packed festive fixture list.
