Chelsea are ready to offer bit-part player Demba Ba as part a deal to sign Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin according to the talkSPORT.

Jose Mourinho is known to be interested in versatile Colombian Guarin, who has been in monumental form this term, and will hope that a cash plus player deal tempts his former San Siro side into selling the 27 year old.
Guarin has been an ever present this term and has helped make Inter Milan a very tough team to defeat with Walter Mazzarri’s side losing just two of their opening 17 Serie A fixtures.
As well as being a tough tackler Guarin offers plenty going forward with the former FC Porto man scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists over the past 18 months.
Inter Milan want a fairly affordable £16.5m for Guarin but Chelsea appear to want to use Demba Ba as a makeweight, an offer that may not appeal to the Italian giants given that the former Newcastle United man hasn’t exactly set the world alight since his January move to Stamford Bridge.
Whilst it’s true Mazzari could benefit from another striker to help offer Rodrigo Palacio support up front it’s questionable that the former Newcastle United man is a good fit for the job.
