Brazilian star had been heavily scouted by the Red Devils of late.
Long-running Manchester United target Everton Ribeiro has confirmed that he will not be leaving Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro to join the Premier League champions after all when the winter transfer window opens again for business next month as had been previously speculated by many, according to reports on the International Business Times.

The former Brazil Under-20 international has just enjoyed a wonderful season for his club side, with Ribeiro’s eye-cathching form in midfield going a long way in effect towards helping Cruzeiro win the Brasileiro Serie A, with the 24-year-old even recently being voted as the Player of the Season back in his homeland.
And as a result of the attacking midfielder’s displays for his side, speculation has been rife of late that Ribeiro would soon be following playmaker and compatriot Neymar by making a big-money switch to Europe as soon as the January transfer window reopened next week, with the South American star having been heavily linked with the Red Devils in particular.
However, Ribeiro has now claimed that he will not be moving to Old Trafford next month, but will instead be remaining with his club in order to compete in the Copa Libertadores, telling Globo Esporte: “There is a lot of speculation but for now I am just enjoying my vacations.
“I’ll present myself at Cruzeiro on 6 January to have a good pre-season and another great year at Cruzeiro.
“I don’t know what will happen after Libertadores. Football is very dynamic, I’ll do like I did this year, step by step.
“Everything is working out little by little, Cruzeiro have a great squad, everyone treats me well and I am very happy there.”
