The west London club have been keeping close tabs on the Colombia international for some time now with a view to bringing Guarin to Stamford Bridge at the turn of the year.
And the Blues have reportedly even recently met with officials from San Siro in order to discuss the possible transfer of the attacking midfielder, although as yet, still no deal has taken place.
However, the Uefa Europa League holders now hope to be able to convince Inter to part company with their star man by including their Senegal international as part of the deal, but Inter head coach Walter Mazzarri is said to still be unsure about the striker’s suitability to his own team’s way of playing.
Ba has so far managed to register a total of three goals and three assists in his 11 matches in the Premier League and Uefa Champions League in this campaign for Chelsea.
