The Serie A side have started the season well and currently sit in fourth spot in the table but may feel that the addition of an experienced centre-back could help their push for a Champions League berth and the Serbian may well feel it time to consider a fresh challenge.
The 32 year old has suffered with injuries for the best part of three seasons but has started 12 of Man United’s 19 Premier League fixtures this season however David Moyes may feel it time to freshen up his back-line.
With Rio Ferdinand out of contract in the summer and Chris Smalling and Phil Jones performing well in alternative positions there may well be a move to bring in a defensive addition in January and Vidic may be allowed to leave Old Trafford.
Vidic is certainly not the same caliber of defender as he once was and after nine seasons at the Premier League club a move to Italy seems entirely plausible.
