Upton Park side want Goodison Park pair.

West Ham are readying a move to bring in Everton pair Johnny Heitinga and Nikica Jelavic according to the Daily Mail.

The Goodison Park duo are likely to leave the Toffees in January and Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to strengthen his squad in January and may be able to land the players on the cheap.

Roberto Martinez may well be ready to accept offers for the duo and both players are keen to secure regular first team football ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals with both players wanting to secure prominent roles in their respective national teams in Brazil.

Heitinga hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League action this term and could offer West Ham the chance to add depth in a number of areas that the 30 year old can effectively fill, be it at centre-back or in the defensive midfield position.

Jelavic has failed to score in eight Premier League fixtures this term and is now behind Romelu Lukaku in the Everton pecking order and may well be tempted by a move to East London.

Allardyce could well do with a fresh striking option with Andy Carroll still sidelined and his side looking limp in front of goal.
