Fulham are lining up a hugely ambitious move to sign in-form West Ham youngster Ravel Morrison according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Craven Cottage side currently sit one place and one point above their East London rivals and one wonders if the former Man United man would feel that a move to make the short move to West London would represent a step up.

Such have been the impressive displays put in by the 20 year old midfielder that there is talk of a possible spot in Roy Hodgson’s 2014 England World Cup finals squad and as such some may have felt that a move to a side in the top half of the Premier League would be in the offing.

Some sources have reported in recent days that Morrison’s West Ham contract includes a £10m release clause that could prove tempting to prospective buyers and the Upton Park side can only thwart such an offer by in turn quadrupling the player’s current £15k a week wage.

Fulham would therefore have to not only spend £10m on the flair player but also be willing to offer at least £60k a week to Morrison.

Recently appointed Fulham boss René Meulensteen will no doubt be handed a decent transfer budget in order to improve his current squad but this is perhaps a move that is out of reach for the relegation threatened club.
