The 25 year old Portuguese international has struggled to impress since his £25m move to the Bernabeu and has now seen fit again Brazilian Marcelo become Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice left-back and having previously been an Old Trafford target it appears a January move to the Premier League side it well and truly back on.
Moyes attempted to bring in Coentrao on a loan deal on deadline day but failed but now Real Madrid are willing to accept just £12.5m for the former Benfica man in the hope of securing a quick sale next month.

French veteran Patrice Evra is likely to leave in the summer when his contract runs out and Alexander Buttner is not seen as a viable long term replacement and it seems entirely likely that Man United would be willing to fork out the modest sum needed to bring in the excellent attack minded Real Madrid star.
