Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski will reportedly reveal he has agreed a deal to sign for Bayern Munich next summer in a statement he will announce on January 2nd according to Marca.

The 25 year old Polish international is out of contract in the summer and can enter into pre-contract talks next month ahead of a free transfer deal at the end of the season and it appears that as expected the Westfalenstadion man is set to follow his former team-mate Mario Gotze to the Allianz Arena.

It’s a move that Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp would have hoped to have avoided but it seems likely that his domestic rivals are likely to land the Bundesliga’s most effective striking weapon.

Dortmund have fallen way off the title pace this term and are now some 12 points off top of the table Bayern Munich, who also have a game in hand, and are down into fourth place with both Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchendgladbach making the most of average displays by Klopp’s side.

Though Borussia Dortmund have struggled Lewandowski has still be a prolific marksman, scoring 16 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions thus far this season.
