The 25-year-old joined the Portuguese giants in the summer of 2011, but may very well be on the move during the January transfer window after falling down the pecking order at the Estadio do Dragao, causing him to ponder his future at the club.
Over the past month links with a move to Premier League strugglers Aston Villa have emerged, as manager Paul Lambert has sought to add some significant quality to his ranks, and the former Standard Liege star had admitted that he would love a move to the English top flight.
He said: “I still dream of the Premier League, but I don’t know if it’s realistic for someone who isn’t even a first-team regular at Porto.
“I think the Bundesliga would fit me better. I haven’t decided my future yet.
“I will be thinking about my options in the upcoming weeks.”
However, he has kept quiet over the possibility of joining Villa, though with the transfer window so close more could develop in the following weeks.
