The Serie A side are apparently convinced that they can lure the Dutch international to Turin on the grounds that the 30 year old forward is unhappy at Old Trafford under new boss David Moyes.

The former Arsenal man has struggled with injuries for portions of the current campaign but has still managed to notch up ten goals in 16 appearances in all competitions and there seems little chance that the Premier League side would consider selling the experienced striker.

Juventus brought in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente from Man City and Athletic Bilbao respectively to strengthen their attack, and as such Antonio Conte may not be in an urgent need to freshen up his attack though clearly Van Persie would walk into just about every starting eleven in Europe so one can see why the Italian giants would target the Man United man.

Man United spent £22.5m to sign Van Persie in August 2012 and he netted 30 goals in his first season at the club, helping Sir Alex Ferguson to secure a Premier League title in his final season in charge.
